Press Maintenance, Rebuilds, Relocation & Reconfiguration

An auditable five-stage service pipeline — from on-site audit through lifetime MRO — documented against the press's original commissioning spec sheet.

Core Service Programs

Five Programs. One Service Organization.

Preventive Maintenance

Goss Printing Press Maintenance

Scheduled inspection contracts covering gear-train wear, dampener-roller condition, ink-rail calibration, and drive-motor predictive monitoring. PM windows range from quarterly walkthroughs to monthly engineer visits for three-shift dailies.

Press Repair

Goss Press Repair

Emergency field response for register failure, web breaks, folder timing issues, ink-rail malfunction, or drive-cabinet faults. 4-hour SLA response for PM-contract customers.

Press Rebuild

Full Rebuild Programs

Frame-up rebuild of Community, Urbanite, M-600, Sunday and Uniliner presses — including bearing replacement, drive modernization, PLC migration, and commissioning sign-off against original spec.

Relocation

Goss Press Relocation

Press-line disassembly, palletization, export-grade crating, shipping coordination, foundation survey at destination, and on-site reassembly & recommissioning. Typical project windows: 12–24 weeks depending on press size and destination logistics.

Reconfiguration

Goss Press Reconfiguration

Format changes (broadsheet to tabloid, cut-off adjustments), folder reconfiguration, tower additions / removals, drive package upgrades, and control-system modernization. Supports press operators adapting to shifting run-length and product-mix economics.

Service Pipeline

A Five-Stage Service Methodology

Every Goss service engagement follows the same auditable pipeline — documented for insurance, lender, and compliance reporting.

1

Audit

On-site dimensional survey, ink-rail condition, gear-wear mapping and commissioning-sheet comparison.

2

Scope & Quote

Documented scope of work, parts list, labor hours, logistics plan, and downtime window — no verbal commitments.

3

Execute

Certified field engineers on-site, parts delivered from regional hub, daily progress log signed off by plant manager.

4

Commission

Register, tension and web-path recalibrated against original spec sheet; color bars validated against Fogra PSO where applicable.

5

Lifetime MRO

Handover to ongoing PM contract: parts dispatch window, engineer rotation calendar, training updates, audit-ready documentation.

Documented Commissioning. Auditable Handover. No Verbal Commitments.

Every Goss service engagement concludes with an audit-ready documentation packet: scope of work, parts list, commissioning sheet, PM schedule, and engineer contact tree. Suitable for insurance filings and operational audits.
